Welcome to the blog! I have been dying to share my amazing experience in Florida. What better way than to make a blog post about 30-A, Florida – “The Coastal Calling.”

For starters – I live in Louisiana, so seeing the ocean with blue water was definitely a first for me! Also if you didn’t already know, I LOVE all things beach related! I always say “I’m a beach girl that’s not from the beach”, but will hopefully live by one someday soon. So when I say, “I lived it up”… you can truly see where I’m coming from. Now let’s dive right in!!!

Florida Here We Come

Florida felt like home! My fellow creative & friend Paige (Owner of Flowers & Co.) joined me on this trip for a sunrise beach elopement shoot. That will be a separate blog post for later! We drove a total of 8 hours from Shreveport, Louisiana to Niceville, Florida and stayed with an amazing new friend (Rileigh). We spent our first night getting baja shrimp tacos, and driving the coast with our windows down!

The First Day

Wakey Wakey it’s 5 a.m. and time to see the ocean! Yes, you heard me…5 a.m. with that being said we needed some coffee and doughnuts, so we headed to Parlor Doughnuts. I’m not exaggerating when I say they were the best doughnuts ever! We got Sandy Beach, Blueberry Hill, Dreamsicle, Strawberry Shortcake, and Coconut Cream filled along with some iced coffee of course. We spent the day at the beach but with no blue water yet since it had been storming, and finished the night off at Pompano Joe’s Seafood House in Destin for some great food & blueberry beer!

30-A

Wednesday might have been my favorite day because it was finally time to see all the places I pinned on my Pinterest in person. It’s time to go spend the day at 30-A, Florida! Starting off in Rosemary, we had to grab a bite at La Crema Tapas…it gave me serious luxury food in Italy vibes. After some food and roaming around we drove right over to Seaside. The coffee from Amavida filled my soul with such joy on the first sip, you could say I was on cloud 9. We shopped at a local record store, saw the famous Seaside sweatshirts, and stayed until we got the best sunset I’ve seen to date!

Nature Walks & Beach Tans

Thursday we wanted to center ourselves around Florida’s beautiful plants & nature. What better place than Eden Gardens State Park?! This place was full of life…from the butterflies obsessing over the many flowers to the squirrels that walk right up to you. If you are looking for an outdoorsy wedding venue in Santa Rosa Beach, Florida…this is THE place! After our nature walks we stopped at Publix to grab a few snacks. I got the new coconut Dr. Pepper & some sushi rolls, because why not have sushi on the beach. A day full of laughs and nature ended with a hot afternoon of tanning.

Goodbye Florida

Friday was here the day of our sunrise elopement, and we had to wake up at 3 a.m. to be ready! I’ll have to give you all the details in another blog. After the elopement ended we made one last stop for breakfast at East Pass Coffee Co. Honestly, this was a personal favorite for the crew. I had the biggest coffee they could offer and a fried egg on avocado toast! Sadly after eating the time came where we had to say goodbye. Little did I know, I had just made some new lifelong friends and found a place I will hopefully call home someday.

Here’s my unhinged camera roll:

Florida you will be missed!
